Handy Measurement Charts
mls to oz.

  • 2ml is approximately 1/16 oz.
  • 5ml is approximately 1/4 oz.
  • 10ml is approximately 1/3 oz.

Dilution of Essential Oil in Carrier Oil

  • Children and Elderly: 9 drops to 30ml
  • Sensitive skin: 18 drops to 30ml
  • Healthy adult with no allergies or sensitivities: 27 drops to 30ml
  • Localized treatment ONLY. MAXIMUM AMOUNTS: 36 drops to 30ml

These measurements have been calculated for body massages, with the exception of the 4% dilution, this is only for treatment of specific areas of the body.

Moods and Emotions

Anti-Stress Blend
(recipe from Green Valley Aromatherapy)


15 drops Bergamot
15 drops Lavender
15 drops Marjoram
15 drops Lemon


Inhale directly or blend into a carrier oil for massage at one drop of blend to one ml of carrier oil. Try adding 4-10 drops of the blend directly into a bath (use ½ the amount for children). This blend can also be placed on a tissue and placed in a plastic bag for inhalations throughout the day as needed.

Depression Reducing Blend

4 drop Lavender
4 drop Ylang Ylang
12 drops Grapefruit

Add your oils to a dark colored glass bottle and mix well by rollling the bottle in between your hands. Add the appropriate number of drops from your created blend to your diffuser by following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Energizing Blends

8 drops Rosemary
12 drops Bergamot

or

8 drops Peppermint
4 drop Frankincense
8 drops Lemon

Add your oils to a dark colored glass bottle and mix well by rollling the bottle in between your hands. Add the appropriate number of drops from your created blend to your diffuser by following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Anti-bacterial solution
(external use only)

10 drops Tea Tree
10 drops Lavender
10 drops Eucalyptus Globulus

Add this blend to a room spray or diffuse it at your desk or in your home to keep airborne bacterial and germs away and help keep you off the sick list. It can even be added to your bath or blended into a massage oil.

Help to fight bacterial infections: Lavender, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree.
Help to protect and reduce complications of viral infections (coughs, colds and flu): Garlic, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree
